Booking
Do I have to reserve a pitch in advance?
We strongly recommend booking the pitch in advance online in the booking portal. Especially on weekends, vacations and vacations the demand for pitches is very high. We cannot guarantee a pitch for spontaneous guests.
Is the Saalburg Beach pitch open all year round?
No, our campsite is expected to be open from the beginning of May until the end of September. In the period from July 28 to August 20, 2024, the pitch is completely closed.
Can I reserve a specific seat?
On our pitch there is free choice of place. That is, you choose the best place for you on the spot. A special seat reservation in advance is not possible. The pitch can be changed at any time.
Can I reserve several seats next to each other?
There is a free choice of seats on our site. This means you can simply choose a seat when you arrive and keep the seat next to it free. Unfortunately, we cannot consider a special seat reservation. If you are coming in a large group (four caravans or more) please contact us by mail(info@saalburg-beach.de).
Payment:
Payment is made upon arrival. We accept cash payment and payment by EC card.
Are dogs allowed?
Dogs are welcome on our pitch. For your stay we charge 4,50 €/dog/night. Out of consideration for other guests, we ask you to abide by the following rules: www.saalburg-beach.de/hunde/
Arrival/Departure
From when can I arrive?
Check in is possible daily from 12:00 to 19:00.
Departure:
Check out is possible between 10:00 and 12:00, or by arrangement with the reception.
I will probably arrive after 19.00? Is this possible and what do I have to consider?
Please inform us in advance so that a parking space will still be available for you. Late arrivals are usually not a problem. However, please note that the power connection and the chip card for using the sanitary facilities can only be activated the next day after registering at reception. Freely accessible portable toilets are available on site.

Where can I park my car?
Your car is parked right by the caravan on your plot. If the space is not enough, or you arrive with several cars, an additional car parking space can be booked for a fee in our parking lot.
Stay on site extension or late check out:
An extension of the stay or late check out is possible only after consultation with our staff at the reception, if the place is not already fully booked.
General questions about the caravan site
How big is a pitch?
Standard pitch: approx. 9 x 6 m
XXL pitch: approx. 12 x 6 m – Attention: There are only a few XXL pitches available! They are located in a separate Area.
How many vehicles are allowed per parking space?
A maximum of 1 caravan or motor home or camper and 1 car are allowed per pitch.
How many people are allowed per pitch?
Per parking space are max. four people allowed.
Is an electricity connection available on the pitch?
Upon request, we can provide you with a power connection (Schuko via distribution boxes) for a fee. Please remember to bring an extension cord (approx. 50 m) and an adapter if necessary.
Is there a washing machine on site?
Yes, a washing machine is available and can be used for a fee.
Is there a fee for using the sanitary facilities?
Yes, for the use of the sanitary facilities we charge a fee of 5,00 €/pitch/day. This fee includes a flat rate, which is available 24/7. You do not need additional (usually temporary) shower tokens.
Is there a fresh water station on the site?
Yes, you can fill your fresh water tank for a fee (2,00 €/tank filling) at our fresh water dispenser.
Where can I empty the camping toilet?
Please simply use our free disposal station on the site for this purpose.
Is barbecue allowed on the pitch?
Yes, barbecuing is allowed on your pitch, but please always with consideration for the other campers. This permit does not apply to the beach area!
Is there wifi?
Yes, our guests can use free wifi on our pitch.
Is there bread service?
Bread service is not available at the moment. However, you will find two bakeries in Saalburg not far from the campsite (about 1 km).
Is there a snack bar/restaurant nearby?
Directly on our pitch you will find Bistro 42. Here you will be provided daily with delicious burgers and much more. In Saalburg you will find, for example, the inn “Kranich” with German home cooking and the pizzeria “zwanzig zwanzig”.
Where is the nearest shopping opportunity?
In Saalburg you will find two bakeries and a butcher. You can find the next supermarket in Schleiz (e.g. Kaufland, Edeka, Lidl, Aldi …) – about 13 km away or in Ebersdorf (Edeka) – about 9 km away.
Where is the nearest EC machine?
You will find the nearest EC cash machine directly in Saalburg.

No, our sanitary facilities are exclusively at the disposal of our campsite guests.
